The world basically feels like its about to crash down on me. About two months agao, my baby Grey, left the barn, before I had a chance to convince my parents to let me buy him. His new owners even renamed him Slider, and name that totally doesn't fit him. I was completely devastated that he was gone, and so I turned to a older gelding named Elmo.

Elmo was one of the original horses at the barn, an abused racehorse my boss had rescued. He is in his mid twenties and had major trust issues but I rode him every time i could. We developed a bond, and I grew really attached to him. When we first started, his jumping was horrible, he would take off over the tiniest rails and spaz everytime. I worked on it with him and he started to really get it. The last few weeks he's been amazing, to a point where I wanted to jump him in an upcoming show. And after every ride, I would take him to an area in the woods and just let him graze for alittle bit, and he would play around with me and I got so attached to him.

Today, just about ten minutes ago, I got a call. Elmo is dead. At the moment I'm still crying, I don't know what to do. I've never experianced anything like this before. It was so unexpected. He died of colic. My boss tried for over five hours to keep him up, walking him to keep him from laying down, but Elmo just gave up I guess. It was so sudden, I miss him so much. the barn won't feel the same. First Grey is taken, and now Elmo is gone. They're also planning to sell Emma, the only other horse at the barn I really like. I can't take this. Please pray for me.
